ALCOHOL/DRUG COUNSELLING
Alcohol & Drug Use Assessments
These are available for people whose alcohol or other drug use is causing problems in their lives but who are not yet sure if they are addicted (dependent). Clients will be helped to take a realistic look at their problem and make wise and healthy decisions about the best way forward. Clients who accept that they are suffering from addiction can be offered advice about seeking detoxification and initial therapy services either through the NHS or privately.
Recovery Coaching
This is appropriate for addicted clients who are newly abstinent. The aim is to help them take and maintain responsibility for their sobriety and to develop the healthy living skills to deal with life’s problems without recourse to chemicals (drugs & alcohol)
Family Coaching
Coaching is intended for family members and close friends of people who suffer from addiction. The indirect ‘fall-out’ suffered by such families can be more serious and longer lasting than the harm suffered by those directly affected by the addiction.
Supervision
Sky counseling provides supervision for both qualified counselors and counselors in training for their diploma.
