If you answer ‘YES’ to at least two of these questions, then there is a problem in your life because of addiction.
Addiction causes serious and lasting harm to family members and close friends of those who suffer from it.
Families need to know that they didn’t CAUSE the addiction.
Neither can they CURE it or even CONTROL it.
Nevertheless there can be significant COSTS and CONSEQUENCES to themselves.
Through SKY counselling and coaching, you will be helped to understand the nature of addiction, how it affects families in general, how it has affected you and how you can get help for yourselves. Many families find it difficult to acknowledge that they need help personally: After all, the addicted person is the one with the problem. Isn’t that so?
A couple of initial sessions at SKY may be all that is necessary to set yourself on the road to your own recovery. Your on-going journey can be free of financial cost with mutual help groups such as Al-Anon and Families Anonymous.
